Poetic Dance drama "The Journey of a Legendary Landscape Painting" - "A Panorama of Mountains and Rivers", jointly produced by the Palace Museum, China Oriental Performing Arts Group Co., Ltd., People's Network and Usunhome Group has been on tour for over 1000 days, visiting more than 60 cities and performing over 500 shows. In 2024, in addition to key domestic cities, "The Journey of a Legendary Landscape Painting" has embarked on overseas tours. In March, it received enthusiastic responses during performances in Singapore, and it will continue to journey to more countries including Turkey, Canada, Russia, Japan and others.

"Poetic Dance drama: The Journey of a Legendary Landscape Painting" adopts the genre of "poetic drama" with chapters such as "Scroll Unfolding, Seal Tracing, Silk Reeling, Minerals Exploring, Brush Making, Ink Grinding, and Painting Alive," allowing the audience to follow the perspective of a modern researcher from the Palace Museum, immersed in the legendary charm of traditional Chinese aesthetics.

The entire drama employs a narrative structure of intertwining time and space. The plot unfolds during the time when the real "A Panorama of Mountains and Rivers" is about to be exhibited, as well as a millennium ago when the young painter Ximeng is about to complete his masterpiece. The researcher delves into the heart of Ximeng due to his deep study of "A Panorama of Mountains and Rivers," experiencing the precious moments when Ximeng painstakingly painted the scroll, connecting hearts with this genius youth whose existence is only recorded by a few words. They explore the accidental and inevitable elements behind the unique brilliant artwork, deciphering the emotional connection between national treasures and modern people.

On the stage, a richly-layered picturesque scene is stretched: the bright moon illuminates a thousand years as the researcher meets Ximeng under its light; diligent workers from the Palace Museum and ancient craftsmen blend together to create a scene of harmonious humanity.
